Q: What brought you to Hazel?
A: I found Hazel because I was moving to Texas, and my position at the time could not support remote work. My position at Hazel is very much the same as what I was doing previously, school-based therapy. At Hazel, I even work with some of the schools I previously worked with.
Hazel has been a fantastic transition. I get to continue the work I want to do in a virtual setting. It was a heaven-send to have the opportunity to continue to do what I was doing!
Q: What makes a career at Hazel unique?
A: The most unique thing about this position is the ability to meet students where they are at. I get to meet students in their homes or at school. I love that I can still work with students in Colorado while living in Texas.
Q: Would you recommend working for Hazel?
A: Absolutely. I have a few friends that are in the process of getting licensed. I’ve told them to contact me once they are ready for work!
Q: Have there been any moments that have stuck out to you during your time with Hazel?
A: Yes, there are so many! I would say that the biggest wasn’t a specific session but just in general. Hazel does an excellent job at recognizing their employees. Last December, we had a companywide summit where they recapped everything in the previous 6 months. There was a small awards ceremony where they recognized everyone in the company, and I remember thinking how amazing that was! It’s incredible that we have so many people with the same mission, and it was fun to see people recognized for different roles within the company.
